Tweeters @moyesy, @rvp, @avb join forces after case of mistaken identity

Tweeters @moyesy, @avb and @rvp join forces after football fans confuse them for David Moyes, Andre Villas-Boas and Robin van Persie.

Twitter users who have been mistaken for Manchester United manager David Moyes, former Tottenham Hotspur boss Andre Villas-Boas and Robin van Persie have joined together to express their frustration.

Disgruntled football fans have tweeted their comments at @moyesy, @rvp and @avb without realising that the users in questions have no relation to the sportsmen.

Sarah Moyes, who is a Scottish marketing worker, has suffered abuse online as fans sometimes mistake her for the United manager's daughter.

Indian technology expert Ravi Visvesvara Prasad has received messages aimed at Van Persie, while New York-based Ashley van Buren has had comments sent her way intended for Villas-Boas.
