Manchester United will become the first British team to make a one-off match a pay-per-view event when they play AIK on August 6.

Manchester United will reportedly become the first team in Britain to make a match a pay-per-view event when they take on AIK in a friendly in Stockholm on August 6.

United are preparing to charge fans a premium to watch a one-off match on their official TV station, according to the Daily Star.

The game will be charged at £5.95 and will be available online and on the club's MUTV in-house television channel.

Manchester United begin their defence of the Premier League title with a trip to Swansea City on August 17.
