A Tesco branch in Ireland has given a tongue-in-cheek offer to shoppers by giving away a prawn sandwich with every copy of Roy Keane's new autobiography.
The offer refers to the former footballer's interview in November 2000 when he said that Manchester United fans at Old Trafford were too busy eating prawn sandwiches to focus on matters on the pitch.
The supermarket in Wilton, Cork, positioned a sign in front of the book stand, which read: 'Free Prawn Sandwich with every copy of the Roy Keane book The Second Half. Just take your receipt to the deli counter for your free sandwich.'
Keane officially released the book last Thursday.
