Sir Bobby Charlton 'taken to hospital during golf tournament'

Sir Bobby Charlton is reportedly taken to hospital and then later discharged after suffering stomach pains while playing in the Alfred Dunhill Links golf tournament.

Manchester United and England legend Sir Bobby Charlton was reportedly taken to hospital midway through his round at the Alfred Dunhill Links tournament yesterday.

The 76-year-old is believed to have been given emergency treatment due to stomach pains that he was experiencing during the event.

According to The Mirror, Charlton initially refused to get into the ambulance that was called and stated that he wanted to continue the round, but he was eventually persuaded to be taken to Ninewells hospital in Dundee.

Reports have claimed that he was discharged from the hospital shortly after receiving treatment from medical staff.
