Manchester City 'caught up in racism storm' over comments made by youth scout

Manchester City reportedly launch an investigation after a complaint was made about an alleged racist comment made by one of their youth scouts.

A Manchester City staff member is reportedly under investigation after allegedly using a racial slur to describe black players.

Youth scout Dean Ramsdale is said to have referred to black players as "BBQs", meaning 'big, black and quick'.

According to The Mirror, Ramsdale used the term during a meeting with City colleagues and a couple of football agents.

The report claims that the Citizens took swift action by launching a probe after receiving a formal letter of complaint from one of those present in the meeting, which took place in early June.

Ramsdale joined the Premier League champions from Sheffield Wednesday 14 months ago and acts as a recruitment manager for the City Football Group.
