Mario Balotelli will reportedly take on Manchester City to a Premier League tribunal on Wednesday as he continues his appeal against a £340,000 fine.

Mario Balotelli will take Manchester City to a Premier League tribunal this week to overturn a fine imposed on him by the club, according to reports in the British press.

The 22-year-old striker was fined two weeks' wages (£340,000) by the Premier League champions for his poor discipline on the pitch in May.

Balotelli missed a total of 11 competitive matches for City last season due to suspension - one-fifth of the club's total number of games.

The Italy international's appeal to a two-man internal commission that was held three weeks ago was rejected, and now Balotelli will reportedly take City to an independent Premier League tribunal.

The hearing is expected to be held in London on Wednesday, with Balotelli bringing his own lawyer against City's legal team.

Balotelli has picked up three yellow cards in all competitions for City so far this season.
