Greater Manchester Police's Urmston branch have poked fun at Manchester City following a break-in at a nearby sportswear store.
Thieves targeted a Sports Direct in the city over the weekend, resulting in police appealing for the public to contact them if they are offered the stolen goods for sale.
The police wrote on Twitter:
Break at Sports Direct Neary Way Large amount of Utd tops stolen, let us know if you get offered one. Unsurprisingly City tops not touched.

The account later added that they hoped the joke "didn't upset too many people."
