Manchester City players, staff donate money for away tickets?

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, his players and staff reportedly donate money so that the club can offer half-priced away tickets.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini, his players and coaching staff have reportedly donated some of their own money to help lower the price of away tickets for fans.

It is believed that the decision was made in a bid to allow season-ticket holders to buy tickets at half the original price for selected away matches.

According to the Manchester Evening News, staff and players, including captain Vincent Kompany, gave money amounting to around £1,000 for the initiative.

Reports have claimed that the club will prioritise matches that are held the furthest away from Manchester or games that are scheduled within days of one another.
