Mathieu Valbuena's lawyer has stated that the French international answered questions from prosecutors with "total sincerity".
According to Get French Football News, the Lyon player was quizzed for two-and-a-half hours on Friday morning, about allegations that he was blackmailed over the existence of a sex tape.
Although Valbuena did not speak to the media upon leaving Versailles, to travel to the south of France where OL lost to Nice, his legal representative Didier Domat said that his client was "very composed, very calm".
Domat went on to say that Valbuena "never wanted to sully the French national team and French football" and only wanted to exercise "his rights as a citizen". However, Domat refused to discuss the nature of the questioning.
The midfielder joined Lyon from Dynamo Moscow this summer.
