Luis Suarez Adidas poster removed from Copacabana beach in Rio

Adidas remove a poster of Luis Suarez from Copacabana beach in Rio after he was given a four-month ban for biting.

An Adidas poster featuring Luis Suarez has been removed from Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro after FIFA issued the forward with a four-month ban for biting.

The global sports brand will review their partnership with the controversial Liverpool striker after the World Cup.

However, the company have decided against using the Uruguayan for their promotional ads for the tournament after he was found guilty of biting the shoulder of Italy defender Giorgio Chiellini.

After the incident, thousands of football fans posed for photos in front of the beach billboard of Suarez, acting as though the 27-year-old was biting their shoulders or arms.

Adidas have since removed the advert and replaced it with an image of Brazil star Dani Alves.
