Disgraced Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling is reportedly battling cancer.

The 80-year-old was banned for life by the NBA this week after racist remarks that he reportedly made in a conversation with girlfriend V Stiviano came to light.

Sterling could be heard in a recording released by TMZ telling his other half not to bring black people to games at the Staples Center after she was pictured with NBA legend Magic Johnson.

According to the New York Post, it has been claimed that Sterling has been battling the disease for a number of years.

Donald was also fined £1.5m for his comments.
