Brian O'Driscoll welcomes baby daughter

Ireland's Brian O'Driscoll welcomes a baby girl into his family on the day of his nation's defeat to England.

Ireland centre Brian O'Driscoll welcomed a baby girl into his family just hours before losing to England in their Six Nations bout.

The 34-year-old rushed to hospital to be with his wife Amy Huberman, who gave birth to their daughter Sadie at 10.30am, and swiftly returned to the Aviva Stadium for Ireland's 12-6 defeat to the Red Rose.

"[Amy] showed great courage and generosity to let Brian go off and play and, for that, we'll be eternally grateful," The Sun quotes team boss Declan Kidney as saying.

Meanwhile, Ireland are preparing to take on Scotland next Sunday.
