UEFA has confirmed that it is putting safety and security "at the centre" of plans for Euro 2016 this summer.
At least 31 people were killed and hundreds more injured in terrorist attacks in Brussels this morning, with the city's airport and a busy metro station being targeted.
The Stade de France was one of the locations targeted during the Paris terrorist attacks last year, but UEFA has offered reassurances over the safety measures they are taking for the tournament in France.
"Following today's events in Brussels, UEFA wishes to reaffirm its commitment in placing safety and security at the centre of its organisational plans for UEFA Euro 2016," read a statement.
"Euro 2016 SAS (safety and security) will monitor the level of risk for the tournament. For over three years now, Euro 2016 SAS has been working with the authorities to guarantee a safe and secure tournament and all measures are being taken to ensure that is the case for all involved."
The Istanbul derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce last weekend was also postponed just hours before kickoff due to a terror threat.
