The Duke of Cambridge was seen sharing a joke with England defender Ashley Cole at the unveiling of the St George's Park training complex earlier today.

Cole had been in the spotlight over the past few days after he had been highly critical of the Football Association on Twitter.

He has since apologised for his tweet and the matter is believed to have been sorted between the defender and FA chairman David Bernstein.

When Cole met Prince William during this morning's training session, the latter said according to Goal.com: "If you continue to be a naughty boy, they will take your Twitter off you."

Cole has earned 98 caps for the Three Lions.
