England Women manager Phil Neville vows to fight for his players to fly business class to all future international tournaments.

England Women head coach Phil Neville has said that he will fight for his team to fly business class to every future international tournament held overseas.

The Lionesses recently travelled economy to the United States for the SheBelieves Cup and lost 1-0 to the USA in their final game.

Neville claims that flying economy from London to Columbus, and then to New York and Florida, affected his side's performance at the tournament.

The former Manchester United defender has vowed to push for England Women to fly business or first class by default going forward, a privilege the men's nation team enjoys.

"I've got to fight on behalf of my players to make sure they get the best," The Guardian quotes Neville as saying. "We need to give ourselves the best opportunity to do well. I quite enjoyed the flight over here, I had nine hours with the team and it was great bonding. It's not my top priority (flying business class), but you always want better."

In response, a spokesperson for the Football Association confirmed that the Lionesses' travel arrangements are "under review".
