Dundee midfielder Paul McGowan admits to kicking a police officer following an arrest at a property in his hometown of Airdrie.

Dundee midfielder Paul McGowan has admitted to kicking PC Jamie White following an incident at a house in his hometown of Airdrie.

The 27-year-old was arrested at a property in Wheatholm Street on November 23, the day after playing in the Scottish Premiership side's 2-1 win over Celtic.

According to BBC News, McGowan pleaded guilty to assaulting PC White at Coatbridge Police Office and admitted to behaving in a threatening manner.

The footballer, whose sentence was deferred, has been convicted two times before for police assault.
