Donald Trump's son joins MLS side

Donald Trump's 11-year-old son Barron Trump joins MLS side DC United.

Donald Trump's son Barron Trump has joined the under-12s side at DC United.

The 11-year-old - the only son of the President and First Lady Melania Trump - is a huge football fan and was spotted wearing an Arsenal T-shirt in the gardens of the White House earlier this year.

According to a reporter working for the MLS website, Trump has already played four times for DC - all of them as a substitute - and wears the number 81 shirt.

Trump is expected to be in the side today when DC host PA Classics at the RFK Stadium, which is around four miles away from the White House.

The President is also a known football fan and in 1992 was responsible for pulling out the balls in the draw for the League Cup quarter-finals.
