Samuel Eto'o uses hot water bottles to stay warm at Stoke City

Chelsea forward Samuel Eto'o battles the cold at Stoke City's Britannia Stadium by placing two hot water bottles on top of his feet.

All good physios will tell you that it is important for players to keep warm when they are on the substitutes' bench.

Chelsea forward Samuel Eto'o certainly took that advice on board at Stoke City on Saturday afternoon, as he snuggled up on the sidelines with two hot water bottles.

Eto'o, pictured below in a tweet by ESPN UK, placed the water bottles on his feet at the Britannia Stadium, where the Blues suffered a shock 3-2 defeat.

The Cameroon international replaced Andre Schurrle on 70 minutes, but, despite having warm toes, he was unable to make a significant impact, registering just one shot, which was off target.
