The winning streak of a psychic Sussex llama has ended following Crystal Palace's 0-0 draw with Brighton & Hove Albion.

Eight-year-old Nicholas, who lives at Ashdown Llama Park in Forest Row, near East Grinstead, predicted on Thursday that the Seagulls would win the first leg of their Championship playoff semi-final at Selhurst Park.

The South American llama was presented with two straw bales, one with a Brighton scarf on it and one with a Palace shirt. After a minute's deliberation, he headed for the scarf.

Nicholas had previously enjoyed success in the guessing game, having backed Chelsea to win both the FA Cup and the Champions League last year.
