Video: Shakhter Karagandy's Viktor Kumykov refuses to rule out sheep sacrifice

Shakhter Karagandy coach Viktor Kumykov suggests that the club could sacrifice another sheep, despite outrage from animal rights group PETA.

Shakhter Karagandy coach Viktor Kumykov has suggested that the club will once again sacrifice a sheep as part of their pre-match ritual.

The club sparked controversy and outrage from animal rights group PETA when they slaughtered a sheep to bring good fortune ahead of their 2-0 win over Celtic in the first leg of their Champions League qualifier last week.

Following the ritual, UEFA president Michel Platini wrote a letter to the club condemning their actions.

However, Kumykov has claimed that he and the rest of the team need to respect Karagandy's traditions.
