Robert Lewandowski to hire bodyguards amid safety fears?

Borussia Dortmund's Robert Lewandowski reportedly considers hiring bodyguards to protect him and his family after signing for rivals Bayern Munich.

Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski is reportedly fearing for his safety after agreeing to sign for rivals Bayern Munich this week.

The 25-year-old will move to the Allianz Arena on a free transfer in the summer, meaning that the Poland international will have to see out the remainder of the season with Dortmund.

It is understood that Lewandowski is considering stepping up personal security for himself and his family after receiving hate messages from Dortmund fans on Facebook, according to Bild.

In 2012, Lewandowski's home was broken into by armed intruders.
