Paris Saint-Germain have revealed that they have received around one million requests from fans for their Champions League quarter-final against Barcelona.
The Ligue 1 outfit were drawn against the Spanish giants in the final eight last week, but deputy director Frederic Longuepee has admitted that the club are unable to meet their supporters' demands.
"There are 25,000 season ticket-holders who had 5,000 extra places, and 5,000 tickets are reserved by UEFA for Barcelona, so there were only 15,000 places to be sold.
"We received between 700,000 and one million requests. To meet that scale of demand in such a short time-frame was mission impossible."
Reports have claimed that the club's ticketing hotline received 100 calls every second.
