Australia batsman David Warner has given a signed pair of his batting gloves to a young fan who was injured when he was struck by a ball at the Cricket World Cup.
The opener hit the ball for six during the team's win over Afghanistan at The WACA, but the shot left the young boy in tears as he was hit by the ball.
After seeing replays of the incident on the big screen, Warner told Yahoo Sport: "I didn't realise until I saw it on the big screen. I gave him a pair of gloves and I signed them.
"I had a quick chat with him and his father. He had a bit of a bandage on him, but he's a bit better now. I said I hope he gets well."
The boy was able to watch the rest of the match after being treated by medics at the ground.
