Chicago Bulls' Luol Deng reveals that he could have played for England had he focused on football and not basketball when he was growing up.

Chicago Bulls' Luol Deng has revealed that he could have taken to football when he was a child.

The 27-year-old British basketball player says that he was "asked to go to England trials" when he was growing up.

"I always said if I didn't focus on basketball, then it would have been football," he told the BBC.

"I was pretty good and was asked to go to England trials. So I would be a professional football player for my beloved Arsenal. Gooners!"

Deng played for Great Britain at the 2012 London Olympics.
