Tess Evans has put Norfolk Islands' shock lawn bowls victory over South Africa down to the family-like spirit in the camp.
The tiny island of just over 2,000 inhabitants produced a surprise 17-13 triumph in the women's fours event at the Kelvingrove Lawn Bowls Centre earlier today.
Norfolk Islands saw their 13-2 lead close to 14-13 at one stage, but they pulled away to eventually see off their South African opponents.
"I didn't feel down because I knew we were going to get there," The Guardian quotes the 50-year-old as saying. "That is not a boast, but I believe in my team. It's a good team. We work well together and we are really close, like a family."
England top Pool D following their 17-13 victory against Australia.
