Israeli judoka Alice Schlesinger could represent Great Britain at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games after falling out with the Israel Judo Association.

The 26-year-old, who is eligible to move to Team GB due to her English-born mother, has had a dispute with chairman Moshe Ponte after she refused to move from the 63kg category up to 70kg and change trainer.

According to insidethegames.biz, Schlesinger needs approval from the International Judo Federation before she can be considered for the British team heading to Rio in less than two years' time.

The British Judo Association will make its selection at the beginning of 2015.
