The United States have cruised into the final of the women's ice hockey tournament, courtesy of a 6-1 victory over Sweden.
Alex Carpenter and Kacey Bellamy found the net just 66 seconds apart in the opening period to put the United States on course for a comfortable victory.
Amanda Kessel, Megan Bozek, Brianna Decker and Monique Lamoureaux all added to the American tally, while Sweden took until just short of the 14-minute mark to register their first shot on goal.
USA have now defeated Sweden 12 times in the last 13 meetings between the two in major international matches.
