Canada's Marie-Philip Poulin overjoyed with Sochi triumph

Marie-Philip Poulin says that she is delighted with Canada's overtime win against the USA in the women's ice hockey final in Sochi.

Canada forward Marie-Philip Poulin has said that she is delighted with her side's victory over the USA in the final of the women's ice hockey at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The 22-year-old scored twice for the Canadians as they came from 2-0 down to get the better of their opponents 3-2 in overtime at the Bolshoy Ice Dome in Sochi on Thursday.

"I think it always gets better, for sure," ESPN quotes her as saying. "It's so hard to get here and to bring it back [home] is amazing."

"I took three months off, and being back here with the jersey on and the gold medal around my neck is the best thing ever," Poulin said, according to USA Today.

Poulin also found the target twice in the final at the Vancouver Games four years ago.
