Canada goaltender: 'NHL prepared me for Olympic Games'

Carey Price believes that his experience in the NHL has served him well for the Winter Olympics.

Carey Price, Canada's starting goaltender for the Sochi Winter Olympics 2014 quarter-finals, has admitted that playing for the Montreal Canadiens in the NHL has prepared him well for the atmosphere.

Price said that there is a lot of pressure at the franchise he plays for and that at the moment he is pleased with his career achievements.

"I've learned a lot of things in Montreal that might have taken me longer in other markets," Price told NHL.com. "Maybe at first when you're a rookie and you're not used to that type of coverage you might want to know what people think of you.

"At this point in my career I'm happy with the way things are going and I know what I need to focus on. I don't need to focus on what everybody else thinks I should be doing."

Canada's quarter-final opponents are yet to be decided.
