Congratulations, Brinn! How are you feeling after that?

"I'm really pleased to have walked away with a bronze medal. It was a really shaky final. The gymnasts before me, a lot of them made mistakes - falling off or splitting their legs or something - so I was really nervous about it. For me it was just about getting through and I managed to hold it together. I'm really happy."

What were your expectations heading to the arena today? Did you think you had a good chance of getting a medal?

"For me it was just about coming into a final and showing everyone what I can do. Being my first senior international event it was just about showing myself, getting my name out there, but there's a lot of good gymnasts [competing] who can score highly. It was about getting a clean routine on the table, but obviously I've walked away with even better."

What are your plans for the rest of the year? Will you have any time to celebrate?

"We've got a few months off now, so I've got a bit of a break. Hopefully I can get a few new skills, but obviously I need to work on a couple of things because I made a few mistakes in the all-around event. The main thing for the rest of the year is to make myself a part of the [World Championships] team and then hopefully next year that will lead onto the Olympics, but there's a few stepping stones that I need to jump over before I get to where I want to be."
