Hennie Otto maintains advantage at Italian Open

South Africa's Hennie Otto will take a two-shot lead into the final round of the Italian Open after shooting a score of 71 on Saturday.

Hennie Otto has held onto his lead at the Italian Open after he recorded a one-under-par round of 71 on Saturday.

The South African's score of 62 on Friday had taken him clear at the top of the leaderboard, and although his third-round performance was not as impressive, he still holds a two-shot advantage over Richie Ramsey going into Sunday's final day.

Ramsey hit six birdies during a faultless round to climb from fourth to second, while Austrian Bernd Wiesberger is a shot further adrift in third.

Scotland's Stephen Gallacher remains in contention for the final automatic Ryder Cup qualifying place after a three-under-par round of 69 left him four shots off second, which he must achieve to make the squad for next month's tournament at Gleneagles.
