Luke Donald reveals his reasons for wanting revenge against Tiger Woods at Medinah Country Club this weekend.

Luke Donald has revealed that he would like to face Tiger Woods on the final day of the Ryder Cup after failing the last time the two met at Medinah Country Club in 2006.

The 34-year-old was paired with the former world number one in the USPGA Championship six years ago but failed to lift his maiden major title with Woods leaving his rivals behind with a six-shot triumph.

However, Donald believes that his form in recent seasons has given him the confidence to beat players such as Woods.

"Absolutely I would like to play Tiger on the final day this time," he said. "You learn all the time from such situations. I'd be less intimidated now because I've gone through those processes of being in contention and winning tournaments.

"He's their highest-ranked guy. You want to take out their big guns. Who wouldn't want to play him?

"Playing that day gave me belief that I could win Majors. It hasn't panned out yet. I was a bit of a home boy and got a good reception there. It will give me confidence."

Donald will partner Sergio Garcia against the duo of Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley in the foursomes on Friday.
