Gary Woodland edges clear at Torrey Pines

Gary Woodland takes a one-shot lead after day three of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

Gary Woodland has taken a one-shot lead heading into the final round of the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.

The 29-year-old, from Topeka, Kansas, shot a two-under-par round of 70 to get himself to eight-under-par for the week, followed by Marc Leishman and Jordan Spieth.

Pat Perez and Morgan Hoffman both find themselves on six-under for the week, with Rory Sabbatini, Ryo Ishikawa, Will MacKenzie, Scott Stallings and Brad Fritsch completing the top 10 on five-under.

Nicolas Colsaerts and Andres Romero are also on five-under-par, while Keegan Bradley and Jason Day a part of a 10-strong group of players in four-under-par.

The cut was made at even-par, meaning that Brendon de Jonge and Rickie Fowler will sit out the weekend.
