Jason Day and Graham DeLaet then got Nick Price's team back on track by overcoming Hunter Mahan and Brandt Snedeker.

South African duo Charl Schwartzel and Louis Oosthuizen came up trumps against Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley to put the Internationals 2-1 ahead, before Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama added a half against Bill Haas and Webb Simpson.
