Lee Westwood claims Thailand Golf Championship title for second time

Lee Westwood edges out Marcus Fraser by one shot to claim his second Thailand Golf Championship title.

Lee Westwood carded a fourth round of 67 to win the Thailand Golf Championship and continue his excellent record in Asia.

The Englishman, who previously won this tournament back in 2011, trailed Marcus Fraser heading into the final day of play this morning, but a strong round allowed him to overtake the Australian and claim the crown.

Successive bogeys for Fraser on the opening two holes put Westwood in a strong position, and the European Ryder Cup star followed that up with seven birdies to edge out his nearest rival by one shot.

Martin Kaymer was tied for second with a seven-under total of 281, while Tommy Fleetwood finished in fourth.
