The 30-year-old South African finished ahead of England's Matthew Baldwin and Jorge Campillo of Spain, hitting a final round of 66 for 15-under par overall in Durban.

Englishman Daniel Brooks had a three-shot advantage at the end of second round that finished earlier on Saturday, but failed to maintain his momentum as the day progressed.

The tournament was brought forward so that the final round did not fall on Sunday when the funeral of former South African president Mandela will take place.
