Henrik Stenson takes the lead in Atlanta

Henrik Stenson leads Adam Scott by one shot after the first round of the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club, Atlanta.

Henrik Stenson has continued his stellar form by shooting 64 to take the lead on day one of the TOUR Championship at East Lake Golf Club.

The Swede, who finished second and third in the Open Championship and US PGA Championship respectively this year, is on six-under-par - one shot clear of Adam Scott, who is also enjoying a superb season.

American duo Billy Horschel and Steve Stricker share third place on four-under-par, followed by compatriot Roberto Castro on three-under.

Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia and Justin Rose are among an eight-strong group of players on two-under-par.

Propping up the 30-man field is Jason Dufner (+4), while Tiger Woods (+3) will need to go low on Friday to get himself back in contention of winning a third FedEx Cup.

At the moment, it is Stenson in the driving seat for the $10m (£6.2m) cheque.
