Ian Poulter comes from four behind to win the HSBC Champions in Shenzhen by two shots for the second WGC crown of his career.

Ian Poulter shot a seven-under-par round of 65 to come from four behind and win a World Golf Championship event for a second time in Shenzhen.

The Englishman won by two shots in the HSBC Champions as his main challengers couldn't pressurise the Ryder Cup hero of five weeks ago at Mission Hills.

Poulter, 36, who won all four of his Ryder Cup matches at Medinah, carded eight birdies in his opening 15 holes before a bogey on 17 and up-and-down par on the last.

Phil Mickelson duffed a chip on the final hole to extinguish his challenge. The American finished in second place on 19-under alongside fellow Americans Jason Dufner and Scott Piercy and Open champion Ernie Els.

Another Englishman, Lee Westwood, had led going in to the final day but after an under-par start, fell away to finish in joint-sixth.

Poulter becomes the seventh man to win multiple times in WGC events.
