Jamie Donaldson has raced into a four-shot lead after the opening round of the BMW Masters in Shanghai.
The Welshman produced a faultless round of 62 to lead from Peter Hanson and Francesco Molinari, who both shot a six-under-par round of 66.
World number one Rory McIlroy was a further shot back on five-under alongside last month's Ryder Cup captain Jose Maria Olazabal.
Martin Kaymer and Justin Rose finished in a group of players on four-under-par while the trio of Luke Donald, Ian Poulter and Lee Westwood completed their rounds in two-under.
