James Morrison claimed the second European Tour victory of his career at the Open de Espana this afternoon.
The 30-year-old from Surrey headed into the final 18 holes as the joint overnight leader along with fellow countryman David Howell thanks to a round of 67 on day three.
However, while Howell fell away, Morrison continued his positive form to finish on 10-under par for the tournament, four shots clear of Howell, Miguel Angel Jimenez, Edouard Espana and Francesco Molinari, all of whom shared second spot.
Morrison is the first English winner of the event in 12 years.
