Graeme McDowell successfully defended the Open de France with a one-shot margin at Le Golf National in Paris this afternoon.
The Northern Irishman was not expected to contend for top spot, but he moved his way through the field courtesy of a round of 67, which left him on four-under-par for the day and five-under for the tournament.

Meanwhile, Kevin Stadler had gone into the final day with a commanding advantage, but his round of five-over was only good enough to finish tied for second with Thongchai Jaidee.
Stadler actually had a putt from two foot to force a playoff on the 18th, but he missed, handing McDowell the victory in the process.
In fourth was Sweden's Robert Karlsson, who finished the tournament on three-under.
