American David Lipsky beats Graeme Storm in playoff to win Omega European Masters

David Lipsky's par on the first playoff hole is enough for the American to beat Graeme Storm and win the Omega European Masters at Crans-Sur-Sierre in Switzerland.

David Lipsky edged out Graeme Storm in a sudden-death playoff to win the Omega European Masters this afternoon.

The 26-year-old American shot a final-round 65 to finish level with England's Storm [68] on 18-under-par for the tournament at Crans-Sur-Sierre in Switzerland.

Lipsky clinched victory on the first playoff hole, saving par after a peculiar decision to lay up from the bunker with just 80-odd yards remaining.

Storm's drive was wayward off the tee and he was only able to make bogey as Lipsky, who predominantly plays on the Asian Tour, claimed his first title on the European Tour.

Another American-English duo - Tyrrell Hatton and Brooks Koepka - finished in a tie for third place on 17-under.
