Rory McIlroy will defend his title at the US PGA Championship next week after recovering from an ankle injury.
The world number one ruptured ligaments in his ankle last month while playing football with his friends, with the injury preventing him from attempting to retain his title at The Open.
However, McIlroy hinted on Instagram that he would make the trip to Whistling Straits and any doubt about his participation was ended when he was included in the groups for the first day when the list was released.
The 26-year-old will play alongside Jordan Spieth, who was victorious at The Masters and US Open, and Zach Johnson following his triumph in the Northern Irishman's absence at The Open.
McIlroy is bidding for his third US PGA title after triumphing in 2012 and 2014.
