Tiger Woods remains outside of world's top 100

Tiger Woods remains outside of the top 100 places in the world golf rankings, despite finishing in a tie for 17th place at The Masters.

A tied-17th finish at The Masters has failed to earn Tiger Woods a place back in the top 100 of the world rankings.

Last month, Woods, who has suffered with injury during the past two years, dropped down to 104th spot, his worst ranking position since 1996.

The former world one began the first major of the year further down the listings at 111, but despite impressing at Augusta, the 39-year-old has only improved to 101st.

After declaring that he wouldn't play again for the foreseeable future, Woods faces a significant drop in the standings when he loses his ranking points for his Players Championship triumph in 2013.
