Marc Warren admits that he is disappointed by his failure to win the Scottish Open earlier today.

Marc Warren has spoken of his disappointment at failing to win the Scottish Open earlier today.

The 31-year-old appeared to be heading for victory when he was 20-under through 12 holes.

However, a succession of bogeys during the remaining six holes saw Warren finish third behind eventual winner Jeev Milkha Singh and runner-up Francesco Molinari.

Having also missed out on the final chance to qualify for the Open next week, Warren admitted that it would take him some time to get over the disappointment.

"I might need a little help to get to sleep tonight," said Warren. "It's going to be disappointing watching the Open. I had it in my hands."

Warren has won two titles on the European Tour.
