Tiger Woods has revealed that he will play in the Frys.com Open in California this October ahead of the Presidents Cup.
The 35-year-old, who currently sits at 38 in the world rankings, made a comeback from a three-month break with injury but failed to qualify for the FedEx Cup play-offs.
Presidents Cup captain Fred Couples has admitted that he will offer the American pro a wild card place for the upcoming tournament, but said that Woods must play more competitions before November.
"I always enjoy competing in my home state and this tournament fits my schedule perfectly," Woods told his official website.
"One of my goals this year was to participate in a tournament I hadn't played before and now I will."
The Frys.com Open takes place at the CordeValle Golf Club near San Jose from October 6 to October 9.
