Charl Schwartzel takes back the lead from Daniel Chopra at the Thailand Golf Championship on the second day of the tournament after carding a 14-under 65.

Charl Schwartzel has regained his place at the top of the leaderboard at the Thailand Golf Championship after carding a 14-under 65 after the second round on the Amata Spring course.

The South African pro dropped below Daniel Chopra, who finished the day on 10-under par, following the first few holes but the former Masters champion stormed through the course to take a four-shot lead.

The second round was delayed due to heavy rain but Chopra started off brightly, while Japan's Masanori Kobayashi impressed on the front nine with seven birdies but dropped some vital shots by the end of the round, which has placed him in third with a nine-under 67.

Meanwhile, defending champion Lee Westwood has yet to get off the mark as he stumbled to five shots adrift of the lead after finishing on three-under.
