Justin Rose and Jamie Donaldson both recorded rounds of 67 to share the lead after day one of the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship.
Donaldson secured the early lead with a round that included just one bogey, before Rose matched his score in the afternoon with a similar round of just one dropped shot.
The British duo lead by one shot to Thorbjorn Olesen and Pablo Larrazabal, who both shot a round of four-under-par for a 68.
Tiger Woods completed the first day in even-par, while world number one Rory McIlroy struggled in his first round of the year, shooting a three-over-par 75.
