Collin Morikawa records a three-shot victory at the DP World Tour Championship, capitalising on a poor finish from previous leader Rory McIlroy.

Collin Morikawa has recorded a three-shot victory at the DP World Tour Championship, winning the Race To Dubai in the process.

For the majority of Sunday's final round, it appeared that Morikawa would be among a group of players to miss out to Rory McIlroy.

However, the Northern Irishman dropped three shots on his final four holes, a return which was in sharp contrast to Morikawa who birdied five of his last seven.

Matt Fitzpatrick, who was also in contention for the title before a poor finish, and Alexander Bjork ended the tournament in a tie for second.

Robert MacIntyre and Nicolai Hojgaard shared fourth position, while Ian Poulter recorded a second successive 67 to finish level with McIlory and Dean Burmester in sixth.

Paul Casey, Shane Lowry and Sam Horsfield were among a group of players who finished in the top 10 with a share of ninth.
