Billy Horschel eyes consistent run in 2015

Billy Horschel admits that he needs to be more consistent if he wants to add to the success he achieved last year.

Billy Horschel has admitted that he must hit his best form on a consistent basis to achieve more success on the PGA Tour this year.

Victories in the FedEx playoffs at the BMW Championship and season-ending Tour Championship carried the American up to 13th in the world rankings at the end of last season, and he believes that improvements he made to his putting stroke will allow him to lift more titles.

"Last season was unbelievable. Before the playoffs my season had not been going the way I would have liked," Horschel told reporters ahead of the Hyundai Tournament of Champions, which starts in Hawaii on Friday.

"I'm trying to see how great a player I can be, reach my level and my potential as a player, and I've got to keep getting better.

"I think one reason I wasn't very consistent last year is I putted really badly. I putted awful until those last three events and my short game can get better, and I think I made some strides this off-season in working and getting better technique-wise."

Horschel will be hoping to improve his record in the four Majors, in which he has missed four cuts in eight appearances and only claimed one top-10 finish.
